Of the four area teams from Alfalfa and Woods counties in football playoffs, two won their games and will continue while two lost, ending their seasons.
The two Alfalfa County teams, Timberlake and Cherokee, chalked up wins Friday night and will continue this week in the quarter-finals on the road to the state championship games.
In Class C the Timberlake Tigers defeated Mt. View-Goteo 54-8. This Friday at 7 p.m. the Tigers will host Paoli in Helena. Paoli beat Oaks Mission last week 62-36.
Also in Class C, the Waynoka Railroaders fell to Ryan 52-22 last week. Ryan advances to play at Medford this Friday.
In Class B-II the Cherokee Chiefs were victorious against Copan 36-8 last week. The Chiefs will travel to Seiling for a quarter-final game this Friday at 7 p.m. Seiling beat Thackerville last week 66-6.
In Class 2A-II the Alva Goldbugs fell to the visiting Beggs Golden Demons 43-0 Friday. Beggs continues to play at Vian this Friday.
