As the Armed Forces Medley plays at Kiowa's Veterans Day program, veterans stand and salute when their military branch theme song plays. It's always an emotional moment to see these grown men and think of them as teens and young men serving their country. The men standing served in the Air Force. From left: (front) Tom Trailor, (seated behind him) Frank Ricke, Bob Drake, Dennis Christensen, Bud Ruggia, Don Rounds, Steve Neal, Greg Robison, (standing behind him) Mike Miller who served in the Army and is the local American Legion Coordinator. Seated at back left is Marcia Cantrell, who sits by her veteran husband Howard (hidden), veteran Robert Armbruster and veteran Bob Rice (partially hidden) who is a World War II veteran and 99 years old.
