Alva Church of God

Alva Church of God, with Pastor Sheryl White, is located at 517 9th.

Sunday schedule: Sunday school will be at 9:30 a.m. and morning worship at 10:30 a.m. The Central Okla Adult and Teen Challenge will conduct the Morning Worship. They will have music and personal testimonies. There will be a dinner following.

Wednesday: Bible study at 7 p.m. We are studying 1st Peter.

Barnes Street Church of Christ

Bible Baptist Church

Sunday: Family Discipleship starts at 9:30 a.m. There are three graded classes for children, teen and adult Bible classes. Join us for a time of learning and fellowship. Family Discipleship emphasizes family learning and will provide the tools necessary to help parents teach the Bible to their children.

Our morning worship starts at 10:30 a.m. Our new sermon series starts this Sunday: “Hope for the Weary Soul, a Study of Romans 8.” During our morning service, we also have a children’s church for pre-K to third grade. Sunday night at 6 p.m., we will have our evening worship service and Elements for children in the service.

Wednesday: Our Wednesday Celebrate Recovery and Refuel starts at 6:30 p.m. Our prayer meeting and Bible study will be held in the fellowship hall and Celebrate Recovery will meet in the church auditorium. Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-based recovery program that provides a safe place to discover a Savior who can give freedom from hang-ups, hurts, and habits. Everyone is invited to attend.

Capron United Methodist Church

Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Sacrament meeting (worship service) at 10 a.m. each Sunday. Visitors are always welcome to attend all church meetings.

Sunday school and other meetings follow at 11 a.m. for all ages. The course of study this year is “Come Follow Me – Book of Mormon.” You can find the weekly reading assignments and other materials for home study as well as the Sunday school lesson on the church’s website: ChurchofJesusChrist.org under the Library tab at the top of the page. A free download of the library materials is also available for cell phones.

Youth groups meet on Wednesday nights.

College Hill Church of Christ

The College Hill Church of Christ, 1102 College Blvd., is just east of the NWOSU campus in Alva. Sunday morning Bible class is at 9:30 a.m. with worship service at 10:30 a.m. Sunday evening service is at 6 p.m. Wednesday evening classes and devotional begin at 7 p.m.

The annual Warmth for Winter distribution of coats, clothing and blankets will be held Saturday, Nov. 23, from 9 a.m. to noon in the fellowship hall of the church building.

Dacoma Church

Everyone is welcome. Fellowship coffee and doughnuts are at 8:45 a.m. Worship service with Rev. Don Jones is at 9 a.m.

eXtreme Youth Center

The eXtreme, located at 425 College Ave. in Alva, is a ministry of Hopeton Church. Students in sixth through 12th grade are invited to come hang out, play games, work on homework and enjoy time with friends after school from 3 to 5:30 p.m. The eXtreme is available to rent for parties and events. First Assembly of God

Morning worship begins at 10:45 a.m. each Sunday morning. We currently do not have an evening service.

First Christian Church

Sunday: Worship begins at 10:30 a.m. in the sanctuary. Worship will also be online via Facebook live (www.facebook.com/FCCAlva).

First Presbyterian Church

Zion Lutheran Church
