This week, Garret Johnson and Nate Ross of the Alfalfa County commissioners were without their fellow commissioner, Mike Roach, but the two were enough to make a quorum.
After approving last week's meeting minutes, they tried calling a representative with NextLink Broadband but could not get through due to inclement weather in Texas. They went ahead and signed the letter of support and moved on to take care of the large stack of maintenance and operation warrants for payment, blanket purchase orders, monthly officer reports, and court clerk records management and preservation monthly reports.
After that, they signed the motor vehicle tax allocation and the interlocal agreements with the Alfalfa County schools, towns and cities for fiscal year (FY) 2024-2025.
Johnson and Ross approved a revised agreement for Century's annual maintenance on the copiers used by the court clerk and treasurer's offices, followed by a transfer document for an MPC 303 copier (Invoice R231 100.03, Serial E155M360309). That copier will move from the commissioner's office to the assessor's office.
The two men signed another transfer document, this time for a pickup bed shell cover (Invoice EM 100, Serial N4038727) from emergency management to Nescatunga Rescue.
Then they approved a transfer of appropriations for the County General Sales Tax M&O account (1311-1-2000-2005) to the County General Sales Tax Personal Services account (1311-1-2000-1110) for $38,400 for salaries and $2,148.60 from the ARPA Personal Services account to the ARPA M&O account for funds to pay the remainder for ACCO-SIG and ACCO-SIF.
Lastly, Johnson and Ross signed the resolution agreement between Alfalfa County and Woods County for maintaining addresses for E-911. (Woods County has the software, whereas Alfalfa County does not.)
