The end is near!

The end is near, so says the sign that the man is wearing in several movies we have seen. Well, it’s really true, the end is near and we, the body of Christ, are warned of the end so we will be ready! I Peter 4:7 says, “The end of all things is near. Therefore, be alert and of sober mind so that you may pray.”

The book of Revelation is a very powerful book written by the apostle John. God inspired him to write it in such a way that every generation since the last days believe that the Lord Jesus will return during their lifetime. We might ask the question, “When are these last days?” Well, the last days are spoken of several times in the New Testament as times where there will be scoffers, people hoarding wealth and following their own desires.

Sounds much like today, doesn’t it? Well, in Hebrews 1:2 it says, “but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom also he made the universe.” The last days has been going on ever since Jesus came to teach us and then die for us. We are in the last days awaiting the glorious return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and the congregation says, “AMEN!!”

Well, what will the end look like? I’m not sure anyone knows exactly, but we do have some clues in the Holy Scriptures that help us recognize that the end will be a very troublesome time that will test each of our faiths.

As Revelation Chapter 12 ends, it talks about how Satan the Dragon, because he couldn’t kill Jesus, will go off and make war against all who follow the commands of God. Then in Revelation Chapter 13, Satan gives power to two beasts, one from the sea, and the other from the earth. This power is amazing as it can actually make fire come from the sky, and that will deceive many into worshipping the Dragon and the Beast. We must remain a strong church!

It's interesting that AI and UFOs are a big deal in the news right now. Boy, how great and mighty man has become in his own eyes! Church, please understand that we will see many mighty things happen before the real end comes. But they are all a last-ditch effort by Satan to deceive the entire world away from worshiping the only true and living God!

Matthew 24:10-13 says, “At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved.” Let the reader be encouraged to keep reading and living the Holy Scriptures!
