Mrs. Burleson hard at work

Apryl Burleson, the pre-K teacher at Burlington school, grew up in Tulia, Texas, where she graduated from Tulia High School. Burleson graduated from Oklahoma Panhandle and Southeastern Oklahoma State University where she received three degrees including a B.A. in social work, a M.Ed. in curriculum and instruction, and a M.Ed. in educational leadership.

Burleson has been teaching for six years, all of which have been at Burlington. She enjoys working at Burlington because she prefers small towns and small schools, she said; she enjoys all her co-workers, and the great students and families. She enjoys teaching because she loves pre-K because she gets to spend her days with smart, creative and funny kids that are eager to learn.
