Burlington Schools kicked off with a great start to the 2022-23 school year. Classes are in full swing, the students are back to learning, and the calendar is filling up with activities.
Junior Mylee Sims is excited about the new year, proclaiming, “I feel like this is going to be a great year for everyone! We have such a positive faculty group and great students!”
The school has made some changes regarding technology in the classroom, and programs are being utilized to increase students’ knowledge in specific areas. All kindergarten through 12th grade students will participate in Accelerated Reading (AR), as reading daily has shown to be a No. 1 factor in helping a child’s education. The focus this year is kindness which can be seen in the hallways of the school, as students spent the first month adding kind words to each other’s lockers.
