Burlington School News: New coach sees potential

Dallas Hunt took the reins of the Burlington boys' basketball team for the 22-23 school year at the beginning of the summer. He chose Burlington because he saw significant potential in the boys' basketball team.

Coach Dallas Hunt grew up in Garber, Oklahoma, and graduated from Garber High School in 2015. He had a really good high school basketball career with good teams and great coaches. He learned many things while playing and being a part of those teams. He suffered an injury his junior year and had to sit out for a season due to surgery. Fortunately, he was able to play college basketball at Northwestern Oklahoma State University, graduating with a degree in psychology.

His favorite thing about Burlington is the students. He indicated they are hard-working and have great attitudes. One of his favorite parts about teaching and coaching is being able to have an impact on students' and players' lives. In addition to basketball, some of his hobbies are golfing and cooking.
