CARL (TIM) JACOB KUEPFER

Carl (Tim) Jacob Kuepfer was the only child born to Leo and Lorene (Foster) Kuepfer on July 13, 1929 in Lansing, Michigan. He quietly and peacefully crossed over Jordan, in his home surrounded by his family, on February 24, 2022, reaching the age of 92 years. Dad left a clear testimony of being at peace with God, and he longed to go home.

With no siblings Dad was creative in entertaining himself, calling in the crows and seeing how close he could sneak up to a grazing deer, etc. At the age of 15 he gave his heart and life to God and was baptized into the Church of God in Christ, Mennonite, on April 9, 1944 by Minister Herman Mininger.

On Feb 16, 1952, he was married to Ellen Mininger and they journeyed the road of life together facing challenges and enjoying the blessings for 70 years.

Dad was a hardworking man. Providing for his family was important to him. Working in the logging industry was one of his favorites. We, as children, have many memories of working with dad and mom in the family owned Country Bakery. Dad’s example of hard work helped instill in us children a good work ethic. He endeavored to keep us children busy with a variety of projects.

Dad was known for his love of singing. He served as a song leader for many years in the Harrison Country Church. He put his heart into singing solos that were an inspiration to all who heard them.

In 1975 Carl moved his family to Oklahoma where he adapted to and learned to appreciate a new country and congregation. Once again he did what was needed to provide for his family. He spent many years as a truck driver, making many friends, and meeting family members along the road, while driving in every state but one. He thoroughly enjoyed his life and he took his beloved wife with him as a companion.

Those left to cherish his memories include his dear wife, Ellen; children, Cherry Dirksen, Mark and Sharon, Gene and Becky, Davy and Carrie, all of Goltry, one daughter-in-law, Carolyn Kuepfer of Austin, Colorado; 22 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; a special cousin, Tom Fullerton; a special longtime family friend, Jack Adkins; three brothers-in-law; two sisters-in-law; many nieces and nephews.

Dad was preceded in death by his parents; parents-in-law; one son, Larry; one brother-in-law, and five sisters-in-law.

Memorials may be made to Stamp Out Starvation through the funeral home.

Funeral service for Carl will be Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at Pleasant View Mennonite Church in Goltry. Arrangements are by Lanman Funeral Home, Inc. of Helena. Online condolences may be made at http://www.lanmanmemorials.com.
