Burlington High School has the privilege this semester of welcoming student teacher Noble Buckhaults. He is teaching history with Ken Jones to junior high and high school students.
Buckhaults grew up in Buffalo, where he also graduated high school. He says that he decided to become a teacher because he wants to "take stock in a child's life while also asking the hard questions about life/history that nobody wants to touch."
The activities he did in high school were cross country, track, FFA, 4-H archery, and he was also the class vice president.
Buckhaults says that his favorite thing about Burlington is that the classes are smaller because he likes to interact with the students and really get to know them and prioritize their learning. His favorite thing to teach is world history or government. He says these because this is where he's able to ask the "morally gray questions also, in the sense of what is right and wrong."
