Two injured in Ringwood collision

Two people were injured and one man was pinned in a two vehicle collision in Ringwood Saturday. According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Allen Goodwin, 69, was extricated by the Ringwood Fire Department using the Jaws of Life. He was transported by Major County EMS to OU Medical Center with incapacitating leg injuries and trunk internal injuries.

Goodwin was a passenger in a 2017 Chevy Equinox driven by Leslie Spadey, 30, of Laverne. Spadey was transported to Integris Bass in Enid by Major County EMS.

The wreck occurred at 4:47 p.m. on Saturday on US-60 and OK-58 in Ringwood. Sandra Cavett, 59, of Canton, was driving a 2018 Ford Expedition and was stopped at a stop sign at the intersection. Spadey was driving westbound on US-60. The highway patrol report says Cavett failed to yield and pulled in front of the Spadey vehicle. Cavett was not injured.

The collision was investigated by Trooper Carter Matthews, assisted by Troopers Sammy Lee and Donald Kraft. Also assisting at the scene were the Major County Sheriff’s Office, Major County EMS and Ringwood Fire Department.
