"We are excited to be able to play a full schedule once again. There is a great opportunity for our fans to watch some really good basketball opening weekend, as we take part in the Central Region Challenge once again. We play two very tough and well-coached opponents in Central Oklahoma and Northeastern Oklahoma State. We believe our non-conference schedule will prepare us for an always tough Great American Conference slate. There is a very long way to go between now and the opening tip, but our guys are excited and very anxious to get on the floor again," stated head coach Vinay Patel.
The game against Kansas Christian will open a four-game homestand for the Rangers, which includes games against Kansas Christian College, Manhattan Christian College (Nov. 20), Randall University (Nov. 23), and Oklahoma Baptist (Dec. 2). The game against Oklahoma Baptist will be the conference opener for the Rangers and the home opener for the conference games.
Northwestern's conference road opener will be against East Central in Ada, part of a two-game road trip finishing in Bethany taking on Southern Nazarene.
The final home game before the new year will be against Southeastern at home on Dec. 18.
The Rangers will welcome in the New Year with a road trip concluding on New Year's Day against Arkansas-Monticello in Monticello, Arkansas.
The final home game of the 2021-22 season for the Rangers will be on Feb. 24 as the Rangers play host to Southern Nazarene, concluding a three-game homestand that includes Arkansas Tech and Harding.
Northwestern's longest road trip will be a three-game stretch starting in Shawnee, Oklahoma, against the Bison of Oklahoma Baptist, before traveling to Arkansas to play Harding University in Searcy and ending with Arkansas Tech in Russellville, Arkansas.
