Rangers conclude GAC Championships in Hot Springs

HOT SPRINGS, Ark. – The Rangers concluded their 2021 spring season in Hot Springs, Ark.

The Red and Black completed three rounds in two days at the Hot Springs Country Club and recorded a team score of 309-326-308 – 943.

Tyler Berryhill led Northwestern after carding a three round 235. He tallied two birdies and improved his game after each round. Berryhill carded a 78-79-78 in Hot Springs.

Cade Seymour carded a 76 after his first round. He recorded an 85 after the second round and a 75 to finish the contest scoring 236 after three rounds. Seymour also recorded seven birdies at the GAC Championships.

Ben Baker recorded a three-round total of 80-83-78 – 241. Baker was able to improve his game in the final round by five shots. Baker recorded two birdies after three rounds.

Luke Cooley turned in a three-round total of 242. Cooley recorded one birdie and eagled hole 16.

Keenan Hofstad carded an 87 in the first round and improved throughout the second round by six shots after turning in an 81. Hofstad finished the third round with a score of 77. He finished the tournament shooting 245 with one birdie and an eagle on hole 18.

Arkansas Tech claimed first place after turning in a three round team total of 288-284-278 – 850.

Henry Frizzell of Arkansas Tech led the GAC Championships. Whitfield carded a 71-73-66 – 210- after three rounds the Hot Springs Country Club.
