Ranger Football releases 2021 schedule

ALVA, Okla. – Northwestern Oklahoma State University and Head Coach Matt Walter have announced its 2021 football schedule.

The 2021 campaign begins with a Thursday night contest at home against Southern Arkansas on Sept. 2. Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m.

The remaining home schedule for the Rangers features East Central (Sept. 25), Arkansas Monticello (Oct. 9), Southern Nazarene (Oct. 23), Harding (Oct. 30) and Southwestern Oklahoma State (Nov. 13). The 2021 Homecoming celebration will take place on Oct. 30 when the Rangers face Arkansas Monticello at 4 p.m., and rival Southwestern Oklahoma State makes the trip to Ranger Field this season on Senior Day on Nov. 13.

The Red and Black travel to Arkadelphia on Sept. 11 for a date with Henderson State and the Rangers go to Oklahoma Baptist on Sept. 18.

Ouachita Baptist took the conference by storm in 2019 with an undefeated conference season, a trip to the national tournament and a final NFCA national ranking at No. 14. Northwestern will take on the Tigers on the road in Arkadelphia, Arkansas, on Oct. 2.

The Rangers will play at Southeastern Oklahoma State on Oct. 16 and wrap their road schedule on Nov. 9 at Arkansas Tech.
