Big time wrestling is coming to Alva this week ... or maybe I should say small time

A group of midget wrestlers are going to put on a show Tuesday. I hope all that attend have a fun time. I probably won't go because if I want to wrestle, I just mouth off to Cleo, or get too close, and she will throw me down. We don't go for the three-count pin because we both need help to get off the floor. Maybe after the arena is built, they can get Hulk Hogan, Chyna, and some of their friends to come see us.

A couple of weeks or so ago I put the plants by the door outside. I had to bring them back in before winter returned. A couple of them weighed about half what a Volkswagen does, so I am going to be more patient taking them back out this time. I hope all your garden and flowers made it through the cold okay.

Derek Chauvin was found guilty of the murder of George Floyd. If he had been declared innocent, riots would have consumed our country, so the jury had to decide if they wanted to plunge our country into riots and looting. Fortunately for them, this man was guilty of murder, and the verdict was a no-brainer.

After Floyd was subdued and other officers were on the scene and he was not let up and put into a car, it did not matter if it was George Floyd or Jim Scribner under the knee. It turned into a crime. Whatever happened to cause him to be handcuffed was done and under control when he hit the ground. I guess what will bother me forever is why three other officers stood there and did nothing to help this man.

Unfortunately, most police deaths are not this cut and dried. In a lot of cases the old saying "you had to be there" comes into play. The video cams have taken the place of being there, but don't always show the whole story. There was a Black man on Facebook that said it all. He said if you are stopped by the police, if you do what they ask, treat them like you want to be treated, and don't make a confrontation out of it, there is a 100% chance you will not be killed. Works for me!

My saw quit this week. We use it to cut out convertors and clean aluminum, so it is an important tool. I went to Atwood's and they didn't have one like mine, so I decided to get a cheap one from Walmart until I could get the better one. The cheap one was not in stock, so I went for the "better" Walmart saw. It did not come with a battery, which sucks. The saw was $54 and the battery and charger were $58. I was looking around for someone to front me the money, when I saw something that didn't make any sense. The battery was $58, but you could buy a drill with the battery for $44. What kind of rocket scientists do the pricing?

One of my friends posted this: Political correctness is a doctrine, recently fostered by a delusional, illogical minority and promoted by a sick mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a piece of crap by the clean end!

Oh, well, let's all be safe out there and God bless one and all.
