Alfalfa County, Oklahoma, has seen a jump in COVID-19 cases according to the Oklahoma State Department of Health (OSDH) website on Tuesday morning. Alfalfa County is listed as having had 95 positive with 76 recovered for a total of 19 active cases. The city listing shows six active cases in Burlington after none last week. Cherokee has four, Goltry one and Helena six. Carmen had three positives but all are recovered. Jet had four positive cases but all are recovered.
Woods County, Oklahoma, is shown with 16 active cases. Nine of those are in Alva and six in Waynoka. Freedom currently has no active cases, according to the OSDH information. Sometimes the numbers in the cities (determined by zip code) do not add up to the same numbers as the county listing.
In the Newsgram coverage area, Cleo Springs is shown with three active cases while Nash has one. There are no cases listed for Aline.
In surrounding counties, Major County is listed with 24 active cases; Harper County, Oklahoma, with 12; and Woodward County with 63.
Barber County, Kansas, is listed with 25 positive cases. The Kansas website does not show the number of those recovered.
On Tuesday, Oklahoma reported 1,309 new cases since the Monday report. There were 15 additional deaths, none identified as being in the preceding 24 hours; 760 people were hospitalized as of Tuesday morning.
