Commissioners of Alfalfa County held a short meeting Monday morning and worked through a relatively short list of things to handle. There were no road-crossing permits, but Jay Hague, Stan Tucker and Marvin Woodall approved minutes from their last meeting, payroll warrants, and maintenance and operation warrants for payment. Blanket purchase orders received approval signatures as well.
A monthly officer report was accepted from the treasurer's office before officials moved on to sign the service contract with VoiceProducts Service LLC.
Next, Alfalfa County's Emergency Manager Shana Smallwood addressed the group with the Emergency Management Grant Program application for fiscal year (FY) 2021. The three men signed off on it and pushed on to give signatures to the next few agenda items, including an AEC Patronage Capital Credit for Alfalfa County Hospital (for $839.98) to be apportioned.
They also voted to rescind a Materials Request Form for District 2 (FY 2020-2021) with CED #8 that was approved on Aug. 17. Commissioners moved to approve a new request form. Materials Request Forms for Districts 1 and 3 (both for CED #8 and FY 2020-2021) garnered approval too.
Commissioners then declared surplus on a John Deere CXl 5 Flex-Wing Mower from District 3 (Inv. no. 441-320, Serial no. IP0CXI5EJGD046509) before moving on to agree on publication for that item to go to Sturgeon's Tractor and Truck Sales public auction at 10 a.m. on Sept. 11.
