Airport Commission to discuss past due hangar leases

Having canceled the April meeting, the Alva Airport Commission has a full agenda for the May 11 meeting. The commission members will meet at 7 p.m. Monday at the Alva Regional Airport.

Following a city council report and the airport manager’s report, commission members will consider a change in hangar lease agreements to address past due accounts. The proposed policies for monthly and yearly hangar leases list time periods for delinquency warnings and termination as well as late fees.

There will be discussion and action on a Jet A fuel pump repair or replacement with quotes from two companies.

Commission members will discuss and take action on the use of CARES Airport Funding. The airport is eligible for a grant under this federal program.

Wise Electric Co. had the lowest and best bid on installation of the Omni-Directional Approach Light System (ODALS) for $194,725. The commission members will vote on accepting that bid.

After discussion and action on the FY 20-21 airport fund budget, the commission will vote on entering into executive session for the annual evaluation of the airport manager.

Following return to open session, the commission members will have the chance to make remarks or inquiries. Then members of the public present at the meeting will be given a chance to speak with a limit of two minutes per speaker.
