ALVA – The Lady Rangers junior forward Bailey Brown received the Great American Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week award Monday afternoon, the conference released.
Brown becomes the first Lady Ranger player to win the award this season. This is Brown's third time of her career winning the award. The first came in December 2017, the second in February 2019 and now this season's.
The Enid native led the Lady Rangers to a win Thursday evening over Arkansas Tech and helped the Lady Rangers almost upset Harding on Saturday. Brown completes the week with an astounding 56 points, 28 rebounds, including eight offensive rebounds. She shot 60% from the field 86% from the foul line.
This included a double-double in the win over Arkansas Tech finishing the game with 36 points and 19 rebounds in the 92-76 victory. Brown followed the Tech game with 20 points and nine rebounds in the 75-74 loss to Harding. For the week she averaged 28 points and 14 rebounds.
