NWOSU Women's golf: Masch, Watts lead after day one at the Ranger Invite

ENID, Okla. – Northwestern's women's golf team had a strong showing in the opening round, leading after the opening day, posting a team total of 342 as they entered the final round in front by 28 strokes at Meadowlake Golf Course.

Ashley Watts and Madison Masch led the way on Day One of the 2019 Ranger Invite, posting a round of 83 to sit tied for first place.

Samantha Friday was in third place, competing as an individual with an 86, while Mackena Tennyson was tied for fourth after posting an 87.

Angela Egger carded an 89, leaving her tied for sixth place, while Cali Taylor rounded out the scoring for the Rangers with a 106, good for sole possession of 14th place.

Play will conclude Tuesday, Sept. 17, from Meadowlake Golf Course with tee times set to begin at 9:40 a.m.
