Eubanks earns offensive GAC honors

ALVA, Okla.– Northwestern Oklahoma State University continues to battle and build camaraderie through the beginning of their 2019 season – and senior middle-blocker Jennifer Eubanks continues to play a large role in the team’s success.

Eubanks earned herself Great American Conference Offensive Player of the Week after posting some big numbers that helped her team win four out of the five matches played. The Copperas Cove, Texas, native tallied 61 total kills. Eubanks earned 16 kills in the Rangers match against Western Colorado, two less than her career high.

Her 61 total kills gives her a GAC-leading 0.388 hitting percentage. This means that each match in the past week was at least 0.300 hitting percentage.

Not only does Eubanks excel on the offensive side, she’s shown talent on defense as well. She also leads the GAC in blocks per set at 1.33 and earned her career high of nine total blocks in Northwestern’s game against Chadron State College. Between all these, Eubanks is earning an average of 3.90 points per set.

Eubanks and the Northwestern volleyball team will be back in Percefull Fieldhouse at 7 p.m. to face-off against East Central University to start their Great American Conference season Tuesday evening.
