I saw where there was talk of not funding Special Olympics and cutting autism funding. I think they have been taken off the chopping block, but why were they ever there?
We just finished two years of trying to prove Trump guilty of something. Muller basically got paid millions to prove nothing. Obama, Hillary and a few others have been investigated for many things. Even if they went to court it would drag out for years costing millions more. If we had all the money that has been wasted trying to get the goods on them, we could help the homeless, the veterans, hungry children, fix roads, fund social security, etc, etc.
Let's quit spending tax dollars on these useless witch hunts. Quite frankly, I wish anyone that investigates someone in power should have to pay for it themselves if they prove nothing. News flash: Boris and Natasha say Russia collusion fake news – work of Moose and Squirrel. For you younger people Rocky and Bullwinkle was a neat cartoon from way back when.
You can get all the useless information you could ever want on the internet. Some of it is kind of interesting though. The heading was "The biggest employer in each state." Wal-Mart was the biggest employer in 22 states with healthcare next at 16. In seven states higher education (universities) was the third top employer. The list finished out with Boeing, the auto industry, MGM casinos, food corporations and the strangest of all, staffing (Hawaii). It was also strange to me the oil and gas energy wasn't a major employer in any state.
Dad will turn 90 April 8th. He gave himself a gift. April 9th he will have a knee replaced. Dad, Jack, and I went to an orientation Thursday at St Mary's. They said there would be a meal furnished. I was hoping for steak but the tuna bagel, potato salad, and cookie was pretty good. There were two other Alva people getting surgeries in attendance. Prayers that all the surgeries have happy endings.
For his 80th birthday we had a surprise party for Dad, and we got him surprised first class. I was pretty sure he wouldn't fall for it again and Saturday is sometimes a casino day, so the word is out. If you want to wish him well, we will be at the Runnymede Hotel on Saturday, April 6th, from 2 to 4 to celebrate. Could be some cake and punch to enjoy.
Health alert: Tick Warning! If someone comes to your front door saying they are checking for ticks due to warm weather and asks you to take your clothes off and dance around with your arms up, DO NOT DO IT, THIS A SCAM! I wish I'd seen this yesterday, I feel so stupid.
