DURANT, OKLA. – The East Central University women's basketball team kept its advantage in the Great American Conference standings over arch rival Southeastern Oklahoma State, with a 61-50 victory and swept the series for the season.

The teams traded points, with the Tigers (16-7, 11-6 GAC) take an advantage with early triples
The Savage Storm (11-10, 9-8 GAC) took a one-point lead (13-12), with 1:53 left
ECU then went on a 6-0 run to end the stanza

SE was able to get the deficit down to three in the first two minutes, but could not get closer
The Tigers kept the lead between 3-6 the rest of the half
Third Quarter: 21-16 (55-44)

ECU then went on a 6-0 run to push the lead to 10 (42-32), with seven minutes remaining
For the next four minutes the Savage Storm would cut the lead to seven and then see it move back to 10
In the final 3:10, the Tigers went on a 7-4 run to push the lead to as many as 15
Fourth Quarter: 6-6
The teams traded points and scoreless streaks in the final stanza
Sr. Tia Williams hit two triples for all ECU's points
