RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – Freddy Lee led a cast of five Wonder Boys to score in double-digits with 21 points helping the Arkansas Tech Wonder Boys basketball team (9-14, 7-10 Great American Conference) edge past Harding (5-18, 3-14 GAC) 88-82 on Thursday night at Tucker Coliseum.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The opening minutes saw Tech and Harding trade baskets with the score knotted at 7-7.
Arkansas tech took its first lead of the game after Mason Cline hit his first 3-pointer of the game (10-7).
Harding answered with a 13-3 run to take a seven point advantage (20-13) at the 13:47 minute mark.
However, a 9-0 Wonder Boy run, highlighted by back-to-back 3-pointers from Cline and Will Adler helped Tech regain the lead (22-20).
HU hit four 3-pointers over the next several minutes to open up a six point advantage (36-30) with 6:32 remaining in the first half.
Tech responded on its next four possessions with a basket, capped by an Alex Brown jumper at the 4:15 minute mark to give Tech the lead once more (38-36).
The two teams hit a combined six 3-pointers over the next three minutes, HU hit four of them, helping them take a 48-46 lead with 1:22 to play in the half.
Both teams went into the locker room with the score tied at 50-50.
After three minutes of play in the second half Harding held a 57-56 lead. Tech put together an 11-0 run, powered by back-to-back-to-back 3-pointers from Adler and Cline, giving the Wonder Boys a 68-56 advantage at the 14:13 minute mark.
Tech maintained its lead until a 6-0 HU run trimmed the deficit to six (78-72) with 4:16 left in regulation.
Tech had an answer for every HU bucket, fuel by Freddy Lee, who scored seven of Tech's last nine points, all from the free throw line, securing the win for Tech.
NOTABLES
The Wonder Boys and the Bison hit a combined 27 3-pointers, as HU went 14-for-36 while Tech went 13-for-29.
Lee scored a team-high 21 points, going 6-of-13 from the field and dishing out five assists. With his five assists tonight, Freddy Lee has become the third player in program history to record 500 career assists.
Cline added 18 points, going 6-for-11 from behind the arc.
Will Adler scored 11 points, while Alex Brown and Ramses Sandifer each scored ten points apiece. Brown also grabbed a team-high seven rebounds.
Both Tech and Harding shot 46.9 percent from the floor.
