ECU Men's Basketball Falls at Arch Rival Southeastern

DURANT, OKLA. – The East Central University men's basketball team dropped an 83-70 decision to arch rival Southeastern Oklahoma State in the final of five-straight road games.

Scoring

First Half: 38-41

The teams traded points and runs over the first four minutes, with the Tigers (14-8, 11-6 GAC) trailing 8-9

Over the next 1:30 minutes ECU went on 7-0 run to gain a 15-9 advantage

The Savage Storm (15-6, 11-6 GAC) pushed back and cut the lead to two (15-13) in the next minute

The teams continued to battle and Southeastern was able to tie the game at 23, with 7:33 remaining

The game was tied at 25 and 27 (6:27) when the Savage Storm went on a 10-3 run over the next three minutes

The Tigers trialed by around seven points until the final 1:30 minutes

ECU then went on a 4-0 run to end the half trailing by just three

Second Half: 32-42

The Tigers came out fighting and cut the deficit to one (43-44) in the first minute

The teams traded shots over the next 5:30 minutes to make it a 52-all tie

Shots were traded for the next 1:30 minutes, with ECU leading 59-58 (11:06)

Southeastern then went on a 6-0 run to gain the advantage for good

The Savage Storm increased the lead to 10, with 4:29 remaining

Southeastern led by as many as 15 in the final minutes
