On Monday, Jan. 28, the Waynoka 4-H and FFA held their annual trophy auction at the Waynoka Schools multi-purpose building at 6:30 p.m. A silent auction was available to browse and bid on throughout the evening.
The evening began with a great meal catered by Klein's. After the meal, the live auction began with many items up for bid. The auctioneers that helped out for the evening were Buck Hutchens and Andy Ferguson.
Some of the items in the live auction included an FFA quilt made by Susan Litzenberger that brought $1,550 and a rifle donated by Mike's Variety that went for $1,000.
The auction raised over $49,000 and of that total $4,500 came from the silent auction, which supports some 4-H and FFA activities. The rest came from the live auction that will go toward helping Waynoka members that show animals and meet certain requirements with their livestock projects.
