Airport commission has full agenda

The Alva Airport Commission has a full agenda for Monday’s meeting. The commission will meet at 7 p.m. in the airport terminal building.

Three items involving engineering and the capital improvement plan were held over from the December meeting. Garver Engineering is to present a preliminary report for an airport improvement project followed by discussion and action on accepting that report. There will also be discussion and action on accepting the five-year capital improvement plan as presented by Garver Engineering.

Every five years, the airport commission must go through a selection process for an engineering firm. The commission will be asked to appoint two of its members as a committee to select the engineering consultants Alva retain for the next five years.

There will be discussion and action on a full service fuel upcharge. The commission will also discuss and act on an overnight hangar charge.

The airport manager will present his monthly report, and there will be a report from the city council.

At the end of the meeting, board members will be invited to make remarks or inquiries. Then visitors at the meeting will be given the opportunity to speak to the board.
