Last-Second Shot Sinks Bison

SHAWNEE – A Rogers State shot with 0.2 seconds left on the clock handed Oklahoma Baptist an 82-80 loss in their final nonconference contest of the 2018-19 season.

Oklahoma Baptist had brief flirtations with the lead down the stretch but were unable to create distance against the Hillcats. The Bison then tied the game with 17 seconds left thanks to a put-back by Dishon Lowery off an Antonio Wade miss. Unfortunately, RSU's Brewster Peacock hit a six-foot jumper off the glass inside the final second, denying OBU a chance to respond.

Brantly Thompson led all players with 22 points, while Antonio Wade poured in 21 points while handing out seven assists. Dishon Lowery had a game-high 11 rebounds as OBU out-rebounded RSU, 37-28.

Oklahoma Baptist (4-6, 3-1 GAC) now turn their full focus to Great American Conference play. The Bison are set to welcome Henderson State to Mabee Arena at the Noble Complex at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 3.
