Woods County Excise Board approves school service budgets

With all members present, the Woods County Excise Board's regular meeting Wednesday, Dec. 19, began with the approval of the minutes from a special meeting on Nov. 14.

The monthly appropriations were motioned for approval by Olson and Shirley.

• District 1 Highway Cash: $167,881.39

• District 2 Highway Cash: $168,061.95

• District 3 Highway Cash: $168,881.39

• District 1 CBRI Fund-105: $14,483.45

• District 2 CBRI Fund-105: $14,483.48

• District 3 CBRI Fund-105: $14,483.48

• Enhanced 911: $22,866.47

• Assessor’s Fee: $264

• County Clerk’s Lien Fee: $1,538.25

• County Clerk’s Preservation Fee: $1,340

• Sheriff’s Revolving Fund: $1,942.89

• Treasurer’s Resale: $2,014.63

• Sheriff’s Commissary: $107.22

• Sheriff’s Service Fee & CHS: $31,289.61

• Mortgage Tax: $100

Next, the board went over the treasurer’s service budgets and billing breakdown for local schools.

• Alva Public Schools: the budget is $21,968,997.92 with $5,215 billed for budget preparation charges

• Waynoka Public Schools: the budget is $20,539,874.49 with $4875 in charges

• Freedom Public Schools: the budget is $2,579,862.03 with $611 in charges

• Northwest Technology Center: the budget is $13,900,368.87 with $3,299 in charges

Shirley, seconded by Olson, motioned for approval of the budgets.

Next, the board voted to acknowledge a transfer of appropriations within the Highway Fund from District 1 Capital Outlay to District 3 Capital Outlay in the amount of $65,000.

Another transfer of appropriations approved was from Highway Fund District 3 M&O to District 3 Capital Outlay in the amount of $70,000. This was originally approved Monday in the Woods County Commissioners meeting for the purchase of a backhoe for District 3. The excise board approved it motions by Olson and Shirley.

The meeting was adjourned with no other business.
