FORT SMITH, Ark. – The Ouachita women's basketball team saw a two game winning streak come to a close on Tuesday evening with a 74-49 loss to the University of Arkansas at Fort Smith.
Fort Smith (1-4) led wire-to-wire as Ouachita (2-3) found themselves playing catchup the entire night. The Lions went on a 10-0 run from 5:36 mark to the 3:17 mark in the first quarter, extending their lead to 21-6. The Lady Tigers were never able to get the score back under double digits.
Senior guard Alivia Huell (Malvern, Ark.) led the Lady Tigers with 13 points and four rebounds. Sophomore forward Madison Raney (Sheridan, Ark.) matched a season and career high in points with 10. Madison Brittain (Bentonville, Ark.) contributed eight points in the contest, Eden Crow (Texarkana, Ark.) was held to single digits for the first time all season.
