Freedom Public Schools will host a book fair in the Freedom Library Sept. 17–20 from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be extended hours on Sept. 20 to accommodate the parent-teacher conferences held until 9 p.m.
The goal is to sell over $700. Scholastic, the book company offering the fundraiser, will give Freedom library 50 percent of all sales over $700 in Scholastic dollars to choose free books for Freedom students.
The book fair is also open online at http://www.scholastic.com/fb/freedomschool1. Purchases are possible Sept. 12–25. Benefits of shopping online include hundreds of titles under $5, extended selection for all age levels, items that are out of stock at the fair may be available online, out-of-town supporters can buy books to support the kids and school, and free shipping. If you choose online shopping to purchase items those items will be shipped to the school library. From the library, the books can be picked up or shipping them from the school can be arranged.
