Stephanie Spellman to take part in Envision

This summer, Stephanie Spellman from Alva will join outstanding high school students from across the nation to take part in a unique academic and career-oriented development experience, National Youth Leadership Forum (NYLF): Law & CSI, in Washington, D.C.

NYLF Law & CSI is one of the Envision family of programs that enable students to explore their interests and experience learning beyond the classroom (www.envisionexperience.com).

Spellman, a senior at Alva High School, was nominated to attend the forum by Linda Pfleider, a teacher at Alva High School. In addition to participating in Student Council, Key Club, Vocal, Electric Gold Show Choir and being a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Spellman is also passionate about sports and plays varsity basketball and throws discus for her high school track team. With dreams of being a forensic psychologist, Spellman is looking forward to gaining the hands-on Law & CSI experience that the forum provides.

"NYLF Law & CSI is a great opportunity for high-achieving scholars to get outside the classroom and see, through hands-on interactive learning, how to innovate and think creatively," said Andrew Potter, the chief academic officer for Envision. "These students, who have already proven themselves academically, will be challenged to work on real-world, student-created projects to bring their studies and career interests to life."
