Yamila Galindo, a graduate of Freedom High School, has been awarded four scholarships to attend Northwestern Oklahoma State University during the 2018-2019 academic year.
Galindo will receive the Freshman Academic Scholarship, the President's Leadership Scholarship, the Valedictorian Scholarship and the Ranger Preview Scholarship.
The Freshman Academic Scholarship requires recipients to have an ACT score of 21-25 and a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average.
All students selected for PLC were able to enroll for their fall semester classes early. PLC students receive a scholarship and an all-expense paid trip to a major U.S. city with Dr. Janet Cunningham and other PLC members.
The Valedictorian scholarship is reserved for designated students who have been honored with the Valedictorian title. The scholarship is renewable for up to eight semesters if requirements are met.
The Ranger Preview Scholarship is awarded for participation in Northwestern's annual Ranger Preview event.
