Henderson State traveled to Clinton, Mississippi for a midweek game on Tuesday with Mississippi College with the Choctaws overcoming a 3-0 deficit to beat the Reddies 7-3.
The Reddies, 16-10 on the year, got on the board first in the fourth inning as Jordan Harris lined a single up the middle followed by a double by Brentten Schwaab to move Harris to third. Harris scored on a sacrifice fly by Jackson Martin.
Henderson added to its lead as the Reddies loaded the bases in the fifth when Joe Myers and Daniel Colasanto were both hit by pitches with Bryson Haskins hitting a single up the middle. Zack Gray drove in two runs with a single to right field to make the score 3-0.
Mississippi College scored two runs in the fifth and sixth innings, and three more in the seventh, while the Reddies were held scoreless the remainder of the game.
The Reddies totaled five hits in the game with Schwaab having a double and Gray collecting a two-run single.
Dalton O'Donnell started the game on the mound for the Reddies and threw three shutout innings.
Henderson used six total pitchers in the game with Caleb Carr being tabbed with the loss.
Henderson will travel to Ada, Okla. this weekend for a three-game GAC series with East Central beginning Friday at 2 p.m.
