KORRY MACKENZIE DAY

Funeral services will be Monday, March 5, 2018, at the Alva High School Auditorium at 2 p.m. with Reverend John Clapp, Pastor Alva Bible Baptist Church officiating. Interment will be Tuesday, March 6, 2018, at 11 a.m. at Elmwood Cemetery in Woodward. Wharton Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Korry Mackenzie was born alongside his twin, Torry Spencer, on January 2, 2000, to Edward and Joan (Kuhl-Connolly) Day. He passed away at Share Medical Center on February 26, 2018, at the age of 18 years, 1 month, 24 days.

Korry was a senior at Alva High School in Alva, Oklahoma. Throughout high school Korry was involved in many activities. He was a part of the Upward Bound program and a member of Alva FFA where he participated in horticulture. Korry was also president of Alva High School Spanish Club.

Throughout his life Korry enjoyed many things, such as music, food and providing laughter to everyone that he knew. Most of all, though, Korry enjoyed spending time with his many friends and family members.

Korry is survived by his parents, Edward Day and girlfriend Misty of Alva, and Joan Day of California; his grandmother, Charlene Day of Woodward; brothers Torry Spencer Day of Alva, Jack Day of Woodward, Joseph Williams of Pollock Pines, California, Anthony Davis of Brookdale, California, Thomas Nelson and wife Jessica of Norman, and Brian Nelson of Norman; aunts La Vonda Day of Woodward, Edwina Porter and husband Randy of Woodward, and Cynthia Fontenot of Weed, California; uncles James Connolly and wife Erin of Myers Flat, California; Dan Kuhl and husband Rufino of Ennis, Texas; Chris Kuhl of Santa Rosa, California; Torry Day of Shattuck; Perry Day and wife Misty of Guthrie; and many other loved family members and friends.

Korry is preceded in death by his grandfathers Edwin "Jack" Day, John "Doc" Kuhl and Thomas Connolly, grandmother Bonita Connolly, and aunt Robin Kuhl.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to a Love Fund through Wharton Funeral Chapel LLC.
