MAGNOLIA, Ark. — The University of Arkansas at Monticello women's basketball team took down rival SAU on the road Tuesday evening by a final score of 66-56.

FIRST HALF
The Muleriders controlled the pace of the opening quarter, leading the Blossoms 10-8 by the period's end.
SAU continued to hold the momentum in this match-up in quarter number two, but UAM began to cut into the lead late after a layup from Johnson put the score at 28-21.
The Blossoms were able to decrease the deficit after forcing 11 total SAU turnovers in the half.
SECOND HALF
Southern Arkansas continued to lead much of the third period, until Idalis Rubalcava knocked down a pair of free throws to give UAM the 44-43 advantage.
The fourth quarter saw a closely contested battle until a 13-2 UAM run surged Arkansas-Monticello ahead to claim the victory over SAU, 66-56.
The Blossoms took control of the second half after shooting 21-for-25 from the free throw line to help take down the Muleriders.
