A woman who reportedly climbed on the hood of a police officer’s vehicle gave officers information leading to a search warrant. The incident occurred on Friday, Dec. 1, about 1:15 p.m. at the intersection of Flynn and 8th Street in Alva.
According to court records, Woods County Deputy Adam Honeyman stopped to assist Alva Police Officer Ron Vasquez with a woman who was climbing on his hood.
From her behavior, the officers suspected the woman was under the influence of controlled dangerous substances. She told officers she had been at the home of Lynn E. Logsdon and was not sure what she had used.
The woman was taken to Share Medical Center where she was evaluated. After blood work was completed, the staff confirmed the presence of methamphetamine, amphetamines, methadone, barbiturates and marijuana in her system.
Law enforcement obtained and at 5:17 p.m. served a search warrant for the Logsdon residence at 309 9th St. in Alva. A search of the residence revealed multiple metal and glass smoking pipes for methamphetamine and marijuana. Other items located within the residence were a small quantity of both marijuana and methamphetamine as well as letters of residence establishing both Logsdon and Cassie T. Gordon resided there. The items were found in the living room and the bedroom shared by Gordon and Logsdon.
