December Rotary Students of the Month honored

Caleb Chapman

Caleb Chapman is the son of Jesse and Michelle Chapman.

High school activities include FFA officer, treasurer and currently Sentinel, Key Club, varsity football, National Honor Society and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Activities outside of school include being a member of First Baptist Church and entrepreneur in ranch business including 15 cows and 10 ewes. Chapman is currently employed by the family ranch and mowing for his grandparents. His plan after high school is to attend Texas Christian University to obtain degree in ranch management. The best advice Chapman could give to a freshman is, "Do all you can and never give up." His personal philosophy in life is, "Always do your best."

Alaina Hurst

Alaina Hurst is the daughter of Jim and Cherie Hurst, Mike and the late Kim VanLandingham.

School activities include president of Electric Gold Show Choir, co-president of Key Club, student council president, secretary of National Honor Society, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Health to Others and varsity golf team. Activities outside of school include Grand Worthy Advisor (state vice president) for the Jurisdiction of Oklahoma International Order of the Rainbow for Girls and being a member of the Sacred Hearts Catholic Church. Her plans after high school are to attend Northwestern Oklahoma State University during her freshman year to complete her general education classes and then transferring to Oklahoma State University majoring in English secondary education.

The best advice Hurst could give to a freshman is, "Get involved as much as possible. High school is so much more fun if you are a part of something and participate in what is going on." He personal philosophy is, "If you are better or someone else is better because you were there, then it is a success."
