ADA, Okla. – The Harding women's soccer team defeated East Central 1-0 in the first overtime period in Great American Conference action.
Harding improves to 7-8-3 overall and 6-5-1 in the GAC. The Lady Bisons will be the No. 3 seed in the upcoming GAC Tournament hosted by Oklahoma Baptist Thursday and Saturday. Harding will face No. 2 seed Southwestern Oklahoma Thursday. Time is still undecided.
East Central falls to 6-7-4 overall and 3-4-4 in the GAC.
GOALS
Harding 1, East Central 0 – 94th minute – Bethany Sutherland assisted Emma Welch for her second goal of the season.
STATS
Harding took 24 shots in the game, eight were on goal. The Lady Bisons were led by Bethany Sutherland who had eight shots, three were on goal.
East Central had 12 shots, four were on goal.
Anna Claire Lewis captured her first career shutout for Harding and had four saves.
