HANDS OVER HEARTS AT THIS KANSAS BALL GAME – As South Barber's band played the national anthem at the 2017 football homecoming game, the crowd stood, removed their hats and placed their hands on their hearts. This would be a familiar scene in the entire Newsgram reading area – in the Heartland. You'll notice the crowd has their own chairs and are seated on the track. This was the Chieftains' first home game since the Aug. 6 storm blew the stadium across the field to the visitors' side. New seating is not yet installed, so everyone just brought their own. It was actually kind of fun.
