Edwin Leon Bergner, son of the late Lorace Lee and Doris Lee (Paris) Bergner, was born March 5, 1957, at Kiowa, Kansas, and passed away September 30, 2017, at Alva, Oklahoma, at the age of 60 years, 6 months and 25 days. He was cremated at his request under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home of Alva. Ed was a graduate of Carmen High School and graduated from Alva VoTech with a degree in diesel mechanics. On December 28, 2010, he was united in marriage to Lesa Mae Houston. He lived in the Dacoma area most of his life and worked as a pumper for Chesapeake. He really enjoyed being around his children, grandchildren and bonus children. He enjoyed motorcycles and tractors. He was also a man with many friends who were very special to him. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jerry Bergner. Ed is survived by his wife, Lesa, of Dacoma; two sons, Kyle Bergner and wife, Marque, of Alva, and Matthew Bergner and wife, April, of Wilcox, Nebraska; one daughter, Vanessa Pracht of Kearney, Nebraska; two bonus children, Maggie Schoeling of Grapevine, Texas, and Morgan Stupka and husband, Brandon, of McPherson, Kansas; one brother, Dale Bergner and wife, Christy, of Enid; and two sisters, Donna Bergner of Enid, and Joy Decker and husband, Jerry, of Enid. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, Tanner Bergner of Colorado, Tasha Bergner of Woodward, Halah and Kajia Canaan, both of Alva, Peyton Bergner of Wilcox, Nebraska, and Drace and Demory Stupka, both of McPherson, Kansas; other relatives and friends.
