Burlington Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) hosted a blood drive at the Burlington School on Sept. 14. The Oklahoma Blood Institute was there to collect the blood donations. FCA members volunteered their time by signing people in and serving snacks.
Over 30 people signed up to donate including teachers, students and community members. Twenty-seven people were able to donate. Did you know that every two seconds someone needs blood? That is why the need for blood is constant. The Oklahoma Blood Institute has over 140,000 donors every year. Thank you to those who donated and continue to donate. There is no substitute for human blood. So remember to feel good and give blood.
