SHAWNEE, Okla. – Errors proved costly as Southeastern opened Great American Conference play with a road loss to Oklahoma Baptist on Tuesday night, 3-0, in Shawnee, Okla.
The loss drops the Savage Storm to 4-9 overall on the year and 0-1 in GAC play heading into the true home opener against East Central at 7 p.m. in Bloomer Sullivan Gymnasium.
SE was paced on offense by Abby Jameson with seven kills, while Erika Costain added five, however as a team the Storm was stung with 26 attack errors across from 25 kills.
Jodi Dixon and Bayley Cook split the setting duties with Dixon dishing out 12 assists and Cook chippin in nine.
Caitlin Cosby led the defense with 16 digs, while Grace Shehadeh added seven.
The Storm dropped the opening set 25-14 and fell behind 2-0 with a 25-10 defeat in the second. SE would rally in the third but come up just shy in a 25-21 loss.
