Alva High School Baseball, headed by Scott Baugh, will host a summer baseball tournament starting today and ending on Sunday, June 18.
Six teams, including the Alva Goldbugs, will compete in this three-day event that will be held on Crenshaw Field starting at 11 a.m. with the final game slated to start at 8 p.m.
Other teams competing are Timberlake, Fairview, Pioneer-Pleasant Vale, Pond Creek-Hunter and Red Dirt. The Goldbugs are scheduled to open the tournament at 11 a.m. against the Timberlake Tigers and close the first evening at 8 p.m. against Pond Creek-Hunter. Alva will play the same times on Saturday, opening Day Two against Pioneer-Pleasant Vale and closing with Red Dirt. On Day Three, the Goldbugs will close with the final game against the Fairview Yellow Jackets at 8 p.m.
All money raised will go to the Alva High School baseball program.
