Alva's 48th Annual Nescatunga Arts Festival is Saturday, June 3. For the first time, Connie Moore, owner of the Fifth Sister Art Gallery and Studio in Waynoka, will judge the fine art entered in the festival. At her studio, which she opened in 2003, Moore still offers unique digital art pieces printed on canvas utilizing her customer's photos. However, her artistic focus shifted in the summer of 2011 when she began her creative journey in layered mixed media abstract art. Since 2014, she's added the challenge of creating still-life oil paintings. Read much more about Moore's love of art and what influences her work in the Nescatunga Special Edition inside the Newsgram next Wednesday.
