Burlington School took three vocal ensembles and one solo to the state competition in Shawnee. Each of these earned a 1 at district competition for the opportunity to compete at state.
The men's quartet – including Jonathan Armbruster, Gabe Stewart, Marshall Burnet and Brenner Clark – received a 1 for their performance of "Ghost Ship." Also competing was the mixed ensemble – Rebecca Bonham, Bayli Hyde, Hailey Dotson, Emily Burnet, Jonathan Armbruster, Marshall Burnet, Brenner Clark, Gabe Stewart, Kelsi Smith, Abi Trujillo, Liberty Bird and Anna Motycka – singing "Sing a Song of Merry Christmas," and the girl's ensemble – Kelsi Smith, Abi Trujillo, Jazmine Vest, Liberty Bird, Caitlin Flackman, Rebecca Bonham, Jaden Allen, Lauren Lagos, Hailey Dotson and Emily Burnet – performed their piece, "All the Pretty Little Horses." Liberty Bird also performed her solo, "Nine Hundred Miles."
