Softball Stays at No. 1 in Regional Rankings

SEARCY – The Harding softball team stayed at No. 1 in the final NCAA Division II Central Region Rankings before the selection show on Monday, May 8th at 9 a.m., CT.

Through last weekend's games, Harding was 50-6 against in-region opponents.

The top eight teams in the region advance to the NCAA Central Region Tournament. The No. 1 and No. 2 seeds will each host three other teams on May 11-13 in a double elimination format. The winner of each tournament will then advance to the super regional, a three-game series hosted by the higher seed on May 18-19. The winner of the super regionals will advance to the Women's College World Series held May 25-29 in Salem, Virginia.

Harding will open the Great American Conference Tournament on Thursday when it takes on Ouachita at 1 p.m., at Tiger Athletic Complex in Bentonville, Arkansas.
