Storm Tripped Up in Road Contest

EDMOND, Okla. – Oklahoma Christian scored in each of the first four innings and Southeastern was unable to mount a rally, falling 6-3 on Tuesday afternoon in Edmond, Okla.

The loss snaps a five-game winning streak and drops the Savage Storm to 14-22-1 on the year.

Hunter Harrison and Brett Akins led the way for SE with a pair of hits each as well as an RBI apiece, whileBrandon Wolski added a solo homer.

Tristen Wood got the start and was saddled with the loss after tossing 1.2 innings and allowing two runs on a hit with three strikeouts.

Jake Patterson, Michael Brinska, Bailey Burks and Cory Scheibner filled in the next four innings and combining to allow four runs on eight hits.

Wolski then came on to finish the contest and tossed 2.1 innings without allowing a hit.

The Eagles put up a run in the first, two in the second and added one each in the third and fourth to open up a 5-0 lead.

An RBI single by Akins in the top of the sixth would plate Cade Clay and cut the deficit to 5-1, however, OCU would tack on one more in the bottom of the sixth for a 6-1 edge.

Wolski would follow with a homer in his first plate appearance in the seventh inning, and Harrison would end the inning with an RBI single to bring home Jake Perez and cut the deficit to 6-3, but that was as close as it would get.
