On Feb. 24 and 25, approximately 150 Oklahoma auctioneering families and companies gathered in Oklahoma City for the Oklahoma State Auctioneers Association Annual Winter Convention & Trade Show. The participants competed in bid calling and ring work, auction advertising and design, and attended educational seminars.
Vicki Wiggins Allen, with Wiggins Auctioneers, LLC, was named Oklahoma First Runner-Up Auctioneer in the bid calling contest. In the auction advertising competition, Wiggins Auctioneers received First Place in "Website," "Social Media Page," "Stationary," and "Commercial Video Company Branding." Another highlight of the convention was the induction of auctioneer, Whitey Mason, of Edmond, into the Oklahoma State Auctioneers Hall of Fame.
The Wiggins Auctioneers group attending the event were Kim and Vicki Wiggins Allen, Quentin and Lynsie Sturgeon, Jeff and Debbie Crissup and Cali Crissup (Jeff and Debbie's daughter, who serves as Executive Secretary for the Oklahoma State Auctioneers Association).
