Former Edmond high school band director sentenced

EDMOND, Okla. (AP) — A former Edmond high school band director who was charged with soliciting sex from a student has been sentenced.

The Oklahoman (http://bit.ly/2kJ9GBy ) reports 29-year-old Cameron Kyle Kedy pleaded guilty on Friday to second-degree rape. He was sentenced to 10 years probation and was ordered to complete 20 hours of community service.

Defense attorney John W. Coyle III says Kedy will also have to register as a sex offender for life.
